The 36 Skate Club was founded by the Phillabaum family in 1965. This year we will be celebrating our 61st anniversary. The current owners, Mike and Tina Phillabaum are working hard, along with their family to provide a safe and fun atmosphere for families to enjoy.
Roller Skating has always been a passion for the Phillabaum family.
The founders, Francy and Jim Phillabaum were champion figure skaters from 1949-1955. While operating the business, they also worked as skating instructors for many years. The children, Jeff and Debra also successfully competed in figure skating, while Mike joined the ranks of national speed skaters. As a family who loves roller skating, we want to provide other families the opportunity to learn to skate and experience a great way to exercise.
At the 36 Skate Club, we provide strict adult supervision, so that parents can feel good about allowing their children to skate here. The staff is always thinking of new games to play and different promotions to make roller skating fun. We would love to host your next birthday party, private party or fundraiser for any organization. Just give us a call for details at 937-773-2841.

A Piqua Family Business Since 1965
36 Skate Club opened on U.S. Route 36 in 1965 and has been run by the Phillabaum family ever since — sixty-one years and three generations. The State of Ohio recognized our 55th anniversary with an official certificate, and Miami Valley Today covered our 60th. You can read more about our work in the community here.
